FLAT STRAP
Event Chat Rules
Effective: 14 July 2026
Flat Strap event chat is for practical communication between an event club and its nominated participants. By posting, you agree to follow these rules.
Keep it event-related
Use the chat for event updates, questions, draw or arena information, volunteer coordination, travel information and other matters directly connected with the event.
Not allowed
- Bullying, harassment, threats, abuse or hateful content.
- Sexual, violent, illegal or otherwise inappropriate content.
- Spam, scams, repeated advertising or deliberate disruption.
- Posting another person's private or sensitive information without permission.
- Impersonating another person, rider, club or Flat Strap.
- Unsafe instructions or knowingly false event information.
Official club notices
Messages marked Official notice come from the club account running the event. Blocking an ordinary chat participant does not hide official notices, because they may contain important event or safety information.
Reporting, blocking and moderation
You can report a message and its author from the message menu. You can also block another participant so their ordinary chat messages no longer appear for you. The event club can hide messages, mute accounts and make the chat read-only. Flat Strap may take further action when needed for safety, legal compliance or repeated breaches.
Parents and managed riders
A child or other managed rider does not post independently. Their parent or guardian's signed-in Flat Strap account is the chat identity and is responsible for messages sent from that account.
Records and privacy
Event messages, reports, blocks, mutes and moderation records may be retained to operate the event, investigate safety concerns, resolve disputes and enforce these rules. Access is limited as described in the Flat Strap Privacy Policy.
Contact
For urgent event matters, contact the event club directly. For Flat Strap safety or privacy concerns, contact Melissa Milton at melissa@flatstrap.com.au.
